This beautiful Pixar based film was released on the 27th of November 2015. The Good Dinosaur was awarded an impressive 7.3/10 by IMDb and 77% by Rotten Tomatoes.
This heart touching film is most definitely a tear jerker and it is advised that you take a box of tissues with you when viewing it.
The opening to this Disney-Pixar animation is the asteroid that was supposed to wipe out the dinosaurs. However, missing by miles, it leaving them unscathed and gives them time to learn new skills such as talking and building new structures. Oriented around a family of five dinosaurs, it’s very comforting film that makes you realise how important family and friends are and how hard times can be when left by yourself.
The Good Dinosaur follows the tale of a little dinosaur, Arlo, who is washed away by a river alongside his father and finds himself many miles from his home in a place alien to him.
Arlo meets many friends whilst trying to figure out how to get home and it is rather uplifting when he meets the young boy, Spot. Together they travel on through their great adventure.
In my opinion, this was one of the most amazing and touching films that Disney Pixar has come up with so far and creats a great contrast with their other 2015 release Inside Out. This vast repertoire of different themes and emotions gives Pixar an overall glow, leaving them with 16 different and unique films that are all in some way positively uplifting.
