Happy International Women’s Day!
From Marie Curie to Emma Watson; the world has been blessed with some amazing women. Today marks the day in which we can all show our appreciation for around 50% of the 7 billion of us on this Earth. Today is International Women’s Day, a day recognised by the United Nation in celebration of women worldwide. However, it is not simply a day to celebrate, it is also a day to act. A day in which we can all stand up for gender equality and help make the move in the right direction towards equality. If you would like to read my article on gender equality click here.
The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is “Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up for Gender Equality”. This aims to speed up the progress towards an equal world for males and females. If you’d like to read more in it click here.

Men, do not fret. Many people have taken to Twitter today claiming that the world is discriminating against us because there is no International Men’s Day. Well, they were all wrong. For 24 years now there has been an International Men’s Day on the 9th November so stop complaining and get that down on your calendars.
